As mentioned in class, the new tuesday class starts on the 7th September. A lot of you are asking where it is, so here are all of the class locations on a handy map (hint, click on the symbols!)

We managed to grab some pictures of people in action at the latest wooden dummy workshop held in Tiverton. Lots of fun was had by all… now I just have to wait 6 months for my dummy to be made!

New Assessment date

Morning everyone,

Just to confirm the announcement given last night;

Unfortunately we’ve had to postpone the wing chun assessment planned for September until Saturday 16th October.

It will still be held at Sidwell Street in Exeter 11am-2pm.

Free Tai Chi in Exeter

Tom and I are providing some free and interactive Tai Chi sessions in Princesshay over the next few weeks.

It would be great if people could come and join in. The aim of these sessions is to encourage members of the public to join in and have a go at some Tai Chi exercises. We’ll also be demonstrating the Broad Sword and Gwan Dao forms too.

The dates are all Saturdays:
17th July
24th July
31st July
7th August

Two sessions each day:
11.00am-12.00noon
2.00pm-3.00pm

Location:
Princesshay (in front of Debenhams)
We would like to encourage as many of you to come as are available and join in!

Please note that there will be no Tiverton class on Monday 12th July, as Tom and I are off to France for a few days. Thursday 15th July will be on as normal in Exeter.

We’re back!

Hi everyone, we’re back from China and classes are back to normal; Mondays (Tiverton) and Thursdays (Exeter).

We’ve set the date for our next assessment with Sifu McKay for Saturday 8th May in Exeter. Could anyone wishing to assess please let me know, just so that I have an idea of the number of people attending?

Hi everyone

I just want to confirm what arrangements are in place for the next few weeks, bearing in mind Tom and I are going on holiday soon.

w/c 15th March

All classes as normal

w/c 22nd March

Monday – Tiverton class as normal, run by John Yarham
Tuesday – no Uni class
Thursday – Exeter class as normal, run by Mike Sum

w/c 29th March

Monday – Tiverton class as normal, run by John Yarham
Tuesday – no Uni class
Thursday – Exeter class as normal, run by Mike Sum

w/c 5th April

Monday – Bank Holiday
Tuesday – no Uni class
Thursday – Exeter class, back to normal

I hope that you still attend whilst we are away – both John and Mike are experienced practitioners. It is always beneficial to get teaching from other instructors, as everyone has their own contribution to make to your learning.

The last Exeter University class will be Tuesday 16th March. Classes will restart at the Uni on Tues 11th May.
