Please note that the next Devon Wing Chun Seminars will be taking place on Saturday 10th November at the Sidwell Street Methodist Church Hall, Exeter.
Both workshops are suitable for all students, and will greatly enhance your Wing Chun understanding and skill. The cost of each seminar is £20. £10 deposit to be paid by 31st October.
Wing Chun Wooden Dummy (10.00am-1.00pm)
This seminar will introduce students to the use of the Wing Chun Wooden Dummy. Students will learn dummy exercises that improve coordination, structure, economical movement, and use of power. Students will then be taught the Dummy Form and applications; beginners will start to learn the choreography, whilst experienced dummy practitioners will improve their form and technique.
Wing Chun Knives & Pole (2.30pm – 5.30pm)
The practice of the Knives and Pole are an essential requirement of the system. This practice will develop students arm, leg and core strength, whilst also developing the ability to transmit force beyond the reach of the arms. The Knives & Pole work also give the Wing Chun practitioner unique footwork and strategy for long to mid-range fighting technique. This seminar will include Drills, Knife versus Pole techniques, and Form Work.
All students of Devon Wing Chun are welcome to attend regardless of experience.
