A selection of photos from our seminar with Master Eric Li in Swansea
Hi Everyone!
I’ve uploaded october’s assessment pictures up to the gallery – check them out! If you have your own pictures that you want to be uploaded, please get in touch.
Apologies for the obscene white balancing in some of the pictures, the hall had a really bright spot which kept moving with the sun/clouds…
Just want to remind everyone about our new Tuesday night class:
Tuesdays 8.00-9.30pm St Thomas Parish Church Hall
(Church Road, Exeter EX2 9AX)
Lovely, brand new, light and airy venue, plenty of space and its own car park! Easy to find, just off of Cowick Street – let me know if you need directions.
Don’t forget there are now three classes each week, which all start at 8.00pm: Mondays in Tiverton, Tuesdays & Thursdays in Exeter.
We are planning to hold a weekend weapons workshop on Saturday 27th November 2.00pm-5.00pm. This workshop will cover usage of the Wing Chun weapons, and empty-hand defence techniques against weapons attacks – one not to be missed! The cost will be £18, with a £10 deposit payable by 4th November.
Helen and I, together with colleagues from Somerset Wing Chun, will be attending a seminar on 2nd October with Master Eric Li; a senior student of Grandmaster Ip Ching, who has been training with him since 1974. We’re looking forward to learning from this leading Master and sharing our experience with you.
The next assessment has been booked for 16th October 2010 11.00am-2.00pm. Sifu Bill McKay will lead the assessment at Sidwell Street Methodist Church. As usual the assessment will be followed by a training seminar. You have three weeks left to polish your techniques. Don’t forget to ask me if you have any outstanding queries. All students are welcome to attend, whether assessing or not.
Some sneaky pictures of the new hall in St Thomas for those who missed out on tuesday :
Lets hope those creaky floorboards settle themselves down!
As mentioned in class, the new tuesday class starts on the 7th September. A lot of you are asking where it is, so here are all of the class locations on a handy map (hint, click on the symbols!)

We managed to grab some pictures of people in action at the latest wooden dummy workshop held in Tiverton. Lots of fun was had by all… now I just have to wait 6 months for my dummy to be made!
For more pictures of the session, see our gallery section. Originals available on request.
